Our History

Zone Centrix is a branded services division of Hromiko & Associates, LLC.

Hromiko & Associates, LLC (named after our founding partner, Vaughn A. Hromiko) launched its first tax incentives services in the State of California during the summer of 2003. Our initial focus in California was helping employers obtain the unique tax benefits offered by California’s Enterprise Zone program.  This expertise quickly expanded into multistate and federal tax incentive programs like the Work Opportunity Tax Credit, the PA Employment Incentive Program and the federal Empowerment Zone Employment Credit.

We soon realized, however, it would be easier for our customers to spread the word about us if we used a meaningful name that was easy to pronounce. So, we registered the name Zone Centrix with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

While the Zone Centrix names received its inspiration from California's flagship Enterprise Zone program, our services are available and very valuable to all U.S. employers.  Hromiko & Associates, LLC engages employers in many industries from coast to coast, maintaining mission-critical contacts with government offices in all 50 states.

Everyday Successes

Small Chain - Big Tax Refund
One of our very first Taco Bell clients, this regional group of restaurants enjoyed two locations within a California Enterprise Zone. They were located within this zone for years before one of our representatives stopped in to talk about the benefits they were missing.

Within a few months, we completed a full retroactive tax credit analysis covering the prior four tax years. Soon after that, the owner of this group received four large tax refund checks totaling more than $100,000!

Mortgage Lender Saves Hundreds of Thousands
We recently completed a retroactive tax credit analysis under the California enterprise zone program for this lender in southern Callifornia. With a pool of 30 employees to evaluate, we secured tax credits of $170,000 from 2008 and 2009 and anticipate more than $100,000 in additional tax credit to be generated by wages paid to qualifying employees in upcoming years.

Quick Serve Chain
With 650 to 700 new hires annually, this highly respected restaurant group generated more than $630,000 in CA state tax credits for 2008. On the federal side, it also generated another $165,000 in combined Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) and Empowerment Zone Wage credits.

We have been very happy with the results of Zone Centrix' tax credit services. One year, they documented federal employment-based tax credits for us averaging almost $170 per new employee!
